Diesel motorhomes are generally bigger, have more moving parts, and require more specialized techniques to manufacture. Maintenance Costs

As mentioned above, diesel motorhomes tend to last longer and need less frequent maintenance. Gas motorhomes usually need more frequent maintenance, but said maintenance is cheaper compared to the cost of repairing a diesel motorhome. Gas-powered motorhomes are generally smaller than diesel motorhomes. However, given how large the average motorhome is, this can actually be a point in gas motorhomes' favor. A larger motorhome is more difficult to drive and may exceed the size limitations of certain RV parks. Of course, if you don’t mind the disadvantages and want the most elbow room possible, you are free to choose a diesel motorhome.
